The Fannin County Historical Commission promotes the preservation of the history of Fannin County and administers the Texas Historical Commission's Historical Marker Program for Fannin County.
The Commission meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month at 6 P.M. at the Commission's offices at 1 North Center Street in Bonham. Anyone interested in the history of Fannin County is encouraged to attend.
The Fannin County Historical Commission is a proud recipient of a Distinguished Service Award for its work in 2016.
The Fannin County centennial monument was moved to the Courthouse grounds and restored in April 2016. See a photo HERE.
